Fitness to Practise cases can involve sensitive personal information.
Information should normally only be shared where there is an appropriate reason for doing so.
There may, however, be circumstances where information needs to be shared to protect:
- patients;
- clients;
- pupils;
- children;
- adults at risk;
- other students or staff;
- members of the public.
Where possible and appropriate, you should be told about information sharing.
There may also be circumstances where the University is required to share information with a professional regulator, placement provider or another statutory organisation.
