Sometimes substance use is connected with another safeguarding concern.
For example:
- somebody may be pressuring you to use substances;
- you may owe money to people supplying drugs;
- somebody may be exploiting your accommodation;
- substance use may be connected with domestic abuse;
- you may be vulnerable to sexual exploitation while intoxicated;
- children or adults who depend on you may be affected;
- you may be experiencing violence or threats.
If something like this is happening, tell us.
The Safeguarding Team can consider the wider situation alongside any specialist drug or alcohol support you receive.
