We want to be clear about the limits of University support.
The University cannot guarantee:
- permanent accommodation;
- that University accommodation will always be available;
- payment of ongoing private rent;
- that a landlord will withdraw an eviction notice;
- a particular outcome from a local authority homelessness assessment.
However, not being able to guarantee accommodation does not mean that we cannot help.
Our role may be to help you understand your options, assess immediate risks, connect different sources of support and help you develop a realistic plan.
